The twelve Lagnas
Karka Lagna
Caring, protective and emotionally deep.
People born with Karka rising in the east have it as their Lagna (ascendant). Caring, protective and emotionally deep.
The Lagna lord is Chandra. It is a water sign of movable (chara) nature.
For Karka Lagna, Chandra, Mangal and Guru rule the trines (1st, 5th, 9th) and act as functional benefics.
Budh and Shukra rule the 3rd, 6th or 11th house and tend to bring effort and obstacles.
Mangal rules both a kendra and a trikona, making it the Yogakaraka — the most auspicious graha for this Lagna.
A single placement is never read alone: sign, aspects, conjunctions, dasha and the whole chart change the outcome.
