The twelve Lagnas
Makara Lagna
Disciplined, ambitious and responsible.
People born with Makara rising in the east have it as their Lagna (ascendant). Disciplined, ambitious and responsible.
The Lagna lord is Shani. It is a earth sign of movable (chara) nature.
For Makara Lagna, Shani, Shukra and Budh rule the trines (1st, 5th, 9th) and act as functional benefics.
Guru and Mangal rule the 3rd, 6th or 11th house and tend to bring effort and obstacles.
Shukra rules both a kendra and a trikona, making it the Yogakaraka — the most auspicious graha for this Lagna.
A single placement is never read alone: sign, aspects, conjunctions, dasha and the whole chart change the outcome.
