The twelve Lagnas
Simha Lagna
Confident, generous and a natural leader.
People born with Simha rising in the east have it as their Lagna (ascendant). Confident, generous and a natural leader.
The Lagna lord is Surya. It is a fire sign of fixed (sthira) nature.
For Simha Lagna, Surya, Guru and Mangal rule the trines (1st, 5th, 9th) and act as functional benefics.
Shukra, Shani and Budh rule the 3rd, 6th or 11th house and tend to bring effort and obstacles.
Mangal rules both a kendra and a trikona, making it the Yogakaraka — the most auspicious graha for this Lagna.
A single placement is never read alone: sign, aspects, conjunctions, dasha and the whole chart change the outcome.
