What is Budhaditya Yoga?
Budhaditya yoga forms when Budh (Mercury) and Surya (Sun) are in the same sign. Because Mercury is always close to the Sun, it is very common; its strength decides how much it gives.
Effects
It gives a sharp intellect, good speech, skill in study, accounts, writing and administration, and recognition for intelligence.
When it is strong or weak
It is strongest in houses 1, 4, 5, 9 or 10 and when Mercury is not combust (more than about 14° from the Sun). In houses 6, 8 or 12, or with Mercury combust, it gives less.
A single placement is never read alone: sign, aspects, conjunctions, dasha and the whole chart change the outcome.
