What is Yogakaraka?
A yogakaraka is a single planet that rules both a kendra and a trikona from the lagna, so it forms a Raj yoga on its own. Saturn for Vrishabha and Tula, Mars for Karka and Simha, and Venus for Makara and Kumbha are yogakarakas.
Effects
Its dasha is usually one of the best periods of life: career rise, property, status and fulfilment of ambitions.
When it is strong or weak
It works best when the yogakaraka is strong, in a good house and not afflicted. A debilitated or combust yogakaraka still helps, but with effort and delay.
A single placement is never read alone: sign, aspects, conjunctions, dasha and the whole chart change the outcome.
