What is Raj Yoga?
Raj yoga forms when the lord of a kendra (1, 4, 7, 10) and the lord of a trikona (1, 5, 9) join, aspect each other or exchange signs. It unites effort (kendra) with fortune (trikona).
Effects
It gives rise in status, authority, wealth and recognition, often during the dasha of the planets that form it.
When it is strong or weak
It is strongest when the planets are well placed and strong, and gives results mainly in their dasha or antardasha. If they also rule 6, 8 or 12, or are debilitated or combust, the yoga weakens.
A single placement is never read alone: sign, aspects, conjunctions, dasha and the whole chart change the outcome.
